How it all works

The City of Danville is the county seat of Boyle County.  Each government entity provides unique and essential services to the community.

City of Danville

Form of Government: The Citizens of Danville elect commissioners to represent the community in its entirety, not any particular district. The Commission appoints a City Manager to oversee the daily operations of City DepartmentsThe Danville City Commission Meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday each month at City Hall at 5:30 p.m. unless otherwise announced.

Boyle County

The Boyle County Fiscal Court is the governing body for Boyle County which consists of the Boyle County Judge Executive and 6 Magistrates, each representing a specific area of the County. The Boyle County Fiscal Court makes important decisions related to the operations of the County Government and Services. The County Clerk, also plays an integral role in the county government, overseeing such functions as county records, elections and voting, and motor vehicle/property registrations. Despite the name, the Boyle County Fiscal Court has no responsibility for judicial proceedings. 

The Boyle County Fiscal Court meets every 4th Tuesday of each month at 9:00 am at the Boyle County Courthouse
