Solarize Boyle supports residents seeking Solar

Solarize Boyle –Press Release – June 23, 2025

 Solarize Boyle is pleased to announce the first two solar installations of 2025.  Our vendor this year is Pure Power Solar (Louisville, KY). Owner Nick Harnett says of the campaign “Solarize campaigns provide an easy way to generate local interest in solar as both a money savings and a stable energy source. We are strong supporters of the Louisville, Frankfort, and Boyle efforts to get good reliable information to homeowners and small businesses.“.  Both Bruce Rodenborn and Alan Turbyfill saw the Solarize Boyle information at Earth Day and signed up and got a complete proposal from Pure Power Solar.  Installation on both homes was completed on June 27.

Solarize Boyle is a program that gives area homeowners, small businesses, and non-profit organizations discounted rates on solar installations. Solarize Boyle makes it easier to invest in renewable energy by connecting participants with pre-screened solar installers.  The program is sponsored by Boyle County Fiscal Court, Danville City Commission and Kentucky Solar Energy Society.

The Solarize Boyle program makes it easier to go solar by:

  • Pre-screening your home to determine if your property is a good fit for solar;
  • Connecting you with our vetted, experienced solar installation partner, Pure Power Solar;
  • Providing a step-by-step explanation of the solar installation procedure

By going solar, a homeowner saves money on your energy bill and reduce your personal carbon footprint and environmental impact, Homeowner see atypical return of 8-12 years with a Solarize project.
