Danville 911 Center and City Commission recognize Outstanding Citizen
During the March 11th City Commission Meeting, the Danville 911 Center and Danville City Commission presented citizen, Kacey Lanham, with the Outstanding Citizen Award for Extraordinary Life-Saving Action.
On January 17, 2024, Danville 911 Center Dispatch received a call from 23 year old Kacey Lanham who had located an unresponsive man in a public restroom, believed to be experiencing an overdose. Lanham provided the details to Dispatcher, then immediately began CPR, which she had learned in a High School class. Lanham's heroic actions saved this man's life and allowed EMS the time to respond.
Danville 911 Center, and the City of Danville, would like to thank Kacey Lanham for her incredible response and encourage community members to become trained in CPR. The City of Danville Fire Department offers CPR and First Aid Training. Call 859-238-1211 to learn more.
