  1. SPARK! Places of Innovation Exhibit

    September 29, 2023, All Day

    Kentucky Humanities, in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution, will be bringing the SPARK! Places of Innovation exhibit to Kentucky! This exhibit explores innovation and invention in rural communities and features diverse stories gathered from across the nation. Panels featuring photographs, interactive stations, games and videos will bring a multi-layered experience to reveal the leaders, successes, and innovation in each town. Throughout the run of the SPARK exhibit, adults and youth can visit our Innovation Stations. These creative spaces will provide visitors with opportunities to explore their own inventiveness through a variety of hands-on activities. School field trips tot he exhibit are available on Wednesdays & Thursdays beginning September 13th.Transportation grants are available! More information is available on the Library website.

  2. Morning Storytime

    Join us at the library for storytime this fall! Each week at Storytime we will read themed stories and have a sensory activity for toddlers and preschoolers to enjoy! Storytime will be held in the Youth Department with the books & theme changing each week. Storytimes for toddlers and preschoolers are on Wednesday & Friday mornings at 10:30 AM and Wednesday afternoons at 12:30 PM from September-December 2023. (Note: the Library will be closed on September 8 and November 24.)

  3. Starlight Movie Night

    Watch a movie outside under the stars at the Library! First, join our Preview Party to play outdoor games. Then, set out your lawn chair and settle in to watch a movie perfect for the whole family! Movies start at dusk with an estimated runtime of 90 - 120 minutes. Movie description: A young mermaid makes a deal with a sea witch to trade her beautiful voice for human legs so she can discover the world above water and impress a prince. (2023; 2 hr 15 min; PG) Movie titles are listed on the Library's website. (All ages)
