It is with deep sadness we share the passing of Commissioner Rick Serres.
Commissioner Serres faithfully served our community on the Danville City Commission from 2015–2020 and, again, since 2022.
He served as an integral part of the Parks & Recreation Board at the creation of Millennium Park and gave generously of his time through his participation on the Danville-Boyle County Convention & Visitors Bureau Board and the Danville-Boyle County Trails Alliance. He was passionate about enhancing our parks, programs, and services to the benefit of future generations.
Above all, Rick will be remembered for his kindness, his love for Danville, and his dedication to making our community stronger. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family during this difficult time.
