Each year the Kentucky/Tennessee American Water Works Association recognizes water professionals and facilities that have gone above and beyond in the water treatment and distribution industry.
The Operational Excellence Award is given to water treatment plants who display exceptional operational management, records management, appearance, cleanliness, and quality.
We are pleased to announce the City of Danville’s Coldiron-Watkins Memorial Water Treatment Plant has been named as the 2025 Kentucky Medium Size Operational Excellence Award recipient.
“On behalf of the dedicated team at the Danville Water Treatment Plant, we are honored to accept this award. This recognition reflects the hard work, innovation and unwavering commitment of our staff to deliver safe, high-quality drinking water to our community and region.” Says Utility Director, Marshall Carrier, “We are proud to serve our community and will continue to strive for excellence in water quality and environmental stewardship.”
The award will be presented at the 2025 Water Professionals Conference in July.
