  1. SPARK! Places of Innovation Exhibit

    Kentucky Humanities, in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution, will be bringing the SPARK! Places of Innovation exhibit to Kentucky! This exhibit explores innovation and invention in rural communities and features diverse stories gathered from across the nation. Panels featuring photographs, interactive stations, games and videos will bring a multi-layered experience to reveal the leaders, successes, and innovation in each town. Throughout the run of the SPARK exhibit, adults and youth can visit our Innovation Stations. These creative spaces will provide visitors with opportunities to explore their own inventiveness through a variety of hands-on activities. School field trips tot he exhibit are available on Wednesdays & Thursdays beginning September 13th.Transportation grants are available! More information is available on the Library website.

  2. Baby Storytime

Each week at Baby Storytime, Ms. Rachael will read themed stories and have a sensory activity for babies from birth to 16 months and their parents or guardians to enjoy!   4. Y.A. Creative Club: Arts & Crafts

    Calling all artists, writers, crafters, and creatives! Join us each week for YA Creative Club, where tweens and teens can try out fun creative projects, learn new writing skills and artistic techniques, share their work, and make new creatively-minded friends. The focus of our sessions alternates between “Poetry & Prose” and “Arts & Crafts.” During our “Poetry & Prose” sessions, we'll discuss exciting topics related to creative writing and do some writing of our own! During our “Arts & Crafts” sessions, we'll experiment with a variety of materials to create new works of art that you can take home at the end of the day! Whatever our focus, each session is suitable for creatives of all skill levels, from beginners to artistic pros. New and returning members are always welcome at YA Creative Club! (Ages 11-18)

  5. Innovation Station: How To

    Introducing the Library’s new Innovation Station featuring a collection of tools for creation and innovation, and the space to utilize them. The Innovation Station is divided into two rooms: Beginner - All Ages (in the Multi-Purpose Room) and Advanced* - Ages 13+ (in the Map Room). The two rooms are located on the 5th Level of the Library. *Patrons need prior training to utilize the tools in the Advanced Room. Attendance at this program certifies users as trained. Come be the first to make something new! Note, ages 13-15 must have a certified adult with them when using the Innovation Station. Attendance at this program and/or training by appointment certifies an individual for use of the Innovation Station.
