  2. SPARK! Places of Innovation Exhibit

    October 3, 2023, All Day

    Kentucky Humanities, in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution, will be bringing the SPARK! Places of Innovation exhibit to Kentucky! This exhibit explores innovation and invention in rural communities and features diverse stories gathered from across the nation. Panels featuring photographs, interactive stations, games and videos will bring a multi-layered experience to reveal the leaders, successes, and innovation in each town. Throughout the run of the SPARK exhibit, adults and youth can visit our Innovation Stations. These creative spaces will provide visitors with opportunities to explore their own inventiveness through a variety of hands-on activities. School field trips tot he exhibit are available on Wednesdays & Thursdays beginning September 13th.Transportation grants are available! More information is available on the Library website.

  3. Baby Storytime

    Join us at the library for our brand new Baby Storytime this fall! Each week at Baby Storytime, Ms. Rachael will read themed stories and have a sensory activity for babies from birth to 16 months and their parents or guardians to enjoy! Baby Storytime will be held in the Community Room with the books & theme changing each week.

  4. Flash-Fiction Horror Writing Workshop

    October 3, 2023, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

    In this four-part workshop, writers can learn to write a fiction short story centered on the genre of horror and suspense under the guidance of local author Paul Stansbury. These stories will be even shorter than normal; made to be presented in 10 minutes or less, and will be shared with the community. The first session will be held on Tuesday, October 3 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Remaining sessions will be held on October 5, 12, and 17. Stories will be shared at the library’s fall bonfire on October 21. This workshop will be held in the Conference Room (Ages 18+)
