The City prioritizes hills, high traffic areas and streets providing access to the hospital. Drivers then proceed to plow the remaining City streets using predetermined routes to optimize time.
All City-maintained streets are plowed during heavy snow events. The City does not remove snow on State routes which can usually be identified by having a number such as Perryville Road (U.S. 150).
The City Public Works Department in conjunction with Danville 911 and Danville Police will determine when conditions require treatment.
