Food Trucks
The City of Danville welcomes Food Trucks (Mobile Food Units)! Whether you're participating one of our many exciting special events or you're planning to setup around town, the information below will help you get started!
Food Truck Ordinance:
The City of Danville has adopted Ordinance No. 2005 regulating Mobile Food Units. If you wish to conduct business as described in Ordinance No. 2005 & 2010, a permit will be required.

• NFPA Food Truck Safety Tips With approval of permit application, a color coded pre-numbered sticker for the calendar year will be issued and must be affixed to Mobile Food Unit or Pushcart in a publicly visible location.

Daily Food Truck Space Reservations
What to know:
- Spaces are available daily (Monday - Saturday) in Weisiger Park, Constitution Square and 4th Street lot.
- Food trucks must be appropriately licensed to operate in the City of Danville to park in these spaces.
- Weisiger Park and Constitution Square spaces are reserved on a first come - first served basis, and free of charge, if no special event is occurring. During special events, the truck operator should contact the event organizer in order to participate.
- 4th Street (Old US Bank Lot) has 3 spaces available daily which must be reserved through the Sign up Genius Reservation system and requires a fee of $25 per day.
- 4th Street reservation requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
- Once your reservation request has been submitted, you should expect an e-mail from the City of Danville that will confirm or deny your reservation. If confirmed, payment will be requested through a secure online payment system, for the applicable fee.

Food Trucks on 4th
Reservation requests accepted for setup Monday through Saturday. Reservation requests MUST be made at least 24 hours prior to the desired setup time.
There are 3 available spaces in the 4th Street Food Truck lot which can be reserved once per day (Mon-Sat) from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.. Food Truck operators may only reserve one slot per day.

Step 3 - Check your e-mail & pay reservation fee
The City of Danville will send an e-mail or contact you to confirm your reservation. At this time, you will pay the applicable fee for your reservations in the 4th Street lot and you may begin sharing your available dates and times on 4th street with customers!
