Police Department:
Several areas make up the Police Department. The areas focus on patrol, investigation, and records. Officers in the department have ranks led by the Chief of Police. The Police Department participates in several programs including Crime Stoppers and Citizen’s Academy.

911 Dispatch Center:
The Danville - Boyle County 911 Center handles all 911 and emergency service calls for not only the Danville area but all of the county as well, including Junction City, Forkland, Mitchellsburg, and Perryville. The 911 center also handles all radio dispatching for the Danville, Boyle County, Perryville, Junction City fire and rescue departments, Danville Police, Boyle Sheriff, Junction City Police, and Boyle County EMS units. The 911 center currently employs ten telecommunicators. Please contact either the Director of Communications or Senior Telecommunicators with questions or comments about the 911 center.
Fire Department:
The Fire Department not only responds to structure fires and other emergencies, but also provides educational programs for fire prevention and training. Such training includes fire extinguishing and proper procedures for evacuation of structure fires. Currently, there are two stations, Central Station on Main Street and Station 2 on the South Danville by-pass.
