The City of Danville was awarded a 319 Stormwater Quality Grant from the Kentucky Division of Water for the amount of $200,460 with a match of $133,640 including in kind labor and equipment. These funds will go towards three separate projects, which include;
- Stormwater Management Project in the southeast part of Danville that includes the preservation and improvement a portion of a Clarks Run tributary, and the installation of rain gardens and rain barrels. - Onsite Wastewater Project that will serve a number of properties along Stanford Avenue in Danville that are currenlty on septic systems that will connect these properties to the City's sanitary sewer system.
- Education and Outreach Project that will produce educational curriculum and materials for local schools.
