The City of Danville prides itself on its quick and effective response to any winter weather situation. With the use of truck mounted snow plows and rock salt, the City can increase the safety for its drivers in many storms with temperatures above 20 degrees fahrenheit (the approximate melting point of the water after the addition of the rock salt). The focus begins with our priority routes (map
); that include main corridors, intersections and hills (the City is not responsible for any State Highways). Once these areas are considered drivable the focus moves to the remaining City Streets that have not been addressed.
